Rocktech designs and manufactures round displays — including round LCD and round TFT screens, fully circular and round-corner panels — from compact 1.3-inch modules to larger 4-inch+ circular screens. Every round panel can be customized (diameter, interface, touch, brightness, cover glass) for wearables, smart home, medical, automotive and industrial products. We support OEM/ODM from prototype to mass production.

A round display is an engineering decision, not just a styling choice. When the enclosure, bezel or interaction model is circular, a round LCD removes the dead corners of a rectangular panel, shortens FPC routing and lets the active area fill the product face. Below are the applications we build round and circular screens for most often — and the design constraints that actually decide the panel.
Power budget and pixel density dominate. We balance resolution against current draw with low-power IPS panels and tuned backlights, and route the FPC to fit tight watch cases. Where always-on or ultra-thin is required, we advise on the round LCD vs round AMOLED trade-off rather than pushing one technology.
Here the round dial is the interface. A circular display with capacitive touch — often combined with a rotary encoder — gives an intuitive "turn-and-tap" UX, while a wide operating-temperature panel keeps it readable on a cold exterior wall.
Round screens behind a knob need precise alignment between the visible active area and the mechanical ring. We handle the cover-glass shape, masking and bonding so the graphics sit correctly under the rotating bezel.
Reliability and long-term availability matter more than cost. We use IPS for stable off-axis readability, specify components for multi-year production, and support cleanable cover glass and anti-glare treatments for clinical environments.
Round gauges demand sunlight readability and vibration tolerance. High-brightness panels with optical bonding cut reflections and stop condensation in the air gap, and wide-temperature grades survive the cabin.
Rugged use means impact-resistant cover glass (up to IK-rated), glove-compatible capacitive touch, and panels rated for continuous duty and extended temperature.
Coffee machines, smart fans and white goods use round displays for a premium feel at a controlled BOM cost. We help select the lowest-cost interface (often SPI for small sizes) that still meets the UI requirement.
Most round-display projects are not "pick from a catalog" — the diameter, mounting and UI are specific to the product. As a manufacturer (not a trader), we customize the full stack in-house and take a project from concept to mass production.
Requirement & DFM review → quote & spec sign-off → prototype/sample → design validation (DVT) → tooling → mass production, with engineering support at each stage. We keep MOQs low for early-stage products and lock long-term availability for products that ship for years.

A round TFT LCD uses the same thin-film-transistor technology as rectangular panels, shaped into a circular active area. Compared with round OLED, round LCDs offer [ longer lifetime / higher brightness / lower cost ], making them ideal for industrial and long-life products.
Round LCDs are common from about 1.0" up to ~4", with larger circular panels available for industrial and automotive use. Smaller sizes typically use an SPI interface; larger, higher-resolution panels move to MIPI-DSI. Our standard round range covers [ 1.3" / 2.1" / 3.4" ], and we cut custom diameters on request.
Round OLED gives true blacks and a slimmer stack and suits always-on consumer wearables. Round LCD (IPS) usually wins on brightness, lifetime, burn-in resistance and cost, which is why it dominates thermostats, appliances, medical and industrial products that run for years. For most non-consumer applications we recommend round IPS LCD.
Both exist. A true round panel has a circular active area; a "round" effect can also be created by masking a rectangular panel behind a circular cover glass. True round panels look cleaner edge-to-edge but cost more — we'll advise which fits your housing and budget.
Small round displays (≈1–2") commonly use SPI for simple MCU designs; larger or higher-resolution round panels use MIPI-DSI, and some use RGB. We match the interface to your processor and provide driver/BSP support.
Yes — we integrate projected-capacitive (PCAP) touch shaped to the circular active area, with tuning for gloved or wet-finger use in industrial and outdoor products.
Yes, with a high-brightness or sunlight-readable backlight plus optical bonding to reduce reflections and prevent condensation in the air gap — the same approach used in automotive clusters.
Yes. We customize diameter and shape, FPC, cover glass, touch, brightness and interface, and support OEM/ODM from prototype to mass production with low MOQ. See custom TFT displays.

Rocktech is a China–based display and embedded manufacturer with 15 years building custom TFT LCD and round displays for OEMs worldwide. Round panels are not a side line for us — we engineer the panel, cover glass, touch and driver as one system.
You work directly with the team that designs and builds the display — faster engineering answers, real DFM input, and control over quality and lead time.
We lock components for multi-year production so your product isn't forced into a redesign, and provide BSP/driver support and post-sales engineering. Low MOQ for early stage, scalable to volume.
